I try to train two skills at once. Most of my combat xp is from slayer tasks. A small amount of my combat level was from playing pest control. If you train slayer and 99 strength at the same time you will get clues, drops and increase 2 skills at once. I would also recommend to train your skills. Most quests have some skill requirements, then you can access new places to kill monsters. I don't like strictly training strength without some kind of benefit. I tried to make my account self-sufficient. One of my favorite skills is slayer. They used to give around 200 Iron Dragons for a task. It would take me a while, but I would collect ranarr from killing druids. I worked on herblore until I could make the prayer pots. If I couldn't make them, I asked someone to make them for me. It is also important to do quests, and then you can access all parts of runescape. This is especially important when you get a level 3 clue. Also try and keep your account well-balanced.
