PostHeaderIcon Immortal Phoenix Recent Clan Events

We are a new clan but we have an enthusiastic group of people that participate a lot in events. There’s a healthy competition among members. During this Edgeville skilling event some were runecrafting in the abyss, some were smithing or crafting ore in the furnace, and some were making air orbs. Generally long after the event time is officially over people are still busy making stuff.

We have a firemaking contest that started August 5th and I can tell you that participants are making a big effort to win this contest. As always we took some time to just hang out and have some fun.

Some of the other advantages of being in a clan are knowing about distractions and diversion events like the Elder Evil tree I found, and stars I scoped. These were announced in the clan chat for those members who wanted to attend.

This star lasted almost an hour with tons of mining xp. Typically I scope 5 or 6 worlds to have a choice of several locations to find stars.

I checked a few worlds and found this Elder evil tree. Several IP members took advantage of this event.

These two gentlemen waited for me to open the chest first. All of us unfortunately got junk. However Summerangel4 on her 2nd run got Guthan’s Spear. Grats to Summerangel4 :)

PostHeaderIcon Immortal Phoenix and World 76 SC play fast stealing creation

The object of this game is to work together to collect clay and process it into sacred clay items. After all the clay is exhausted the game ends.

Stealing Creation Game

Stealing Creation Game

Why play non-combat fast stealing creation?
Games end faster than a normal game.
Sacred clay tools (cost is 20 points) give the player 2 times exp. for a set amount of exp (varies based on what you’re using it for).
It’s fun to play.

If you are interested in playing either join Immortal Phoenix Clan or post a message here.

PostHeaderIcon Giant Mole Event Continued…

We had a fun time chasing the Giant Mole around the Mole Lair.

I have never had such great luck with the seeds…Usually I get a bunch of allotment seeds. I would have been happy with a Yew seed. I’m very happy with this haul :)

Required items are a bullseye or other light source, tinderbox, spade. Helpful items are a prayer pot, some food, pure super set, sara godsword, Spirit Terrorbird, extra pouch and tireless run scrolls, home or faldor teleport tab. The Giant Mole is weak to range, but I prefer to use melee. If you are the first person to attack the monster it may be necessary to use protect melee prayer.

The best drop was 100 yew logs. Other drops were iron arrows, and charms. We also got about 40 claw/mole skins. I traded them into Wyson and got a willow seed, some watermelon, corn, and evil turnip seeds.

Often I hear the question what do level 138′s do for fun? One of the activities is killing the Giant Mole. The Spirit Terrorbird is the most helpful summoning monster since it has 12 inventory spots and it’s special is tireless run. It is advantageous for all the running around you have to do. Often it also lets you know what direction the Giant Mole has dug.

PostHeaderIcon Agility Training at Dorgesh-Kaan

This morning there was an update in agility so Native and I figured we would check out if there really was an improvement. They claimed to reduce the number of times that you fall. In the past even though we had the same agility level I would still fall more often. It seems it’s just random dumb luck whether you fall or not. I was able to do 27 trips without falling while Native with the same agility level fell 3 times and the same span of time. We both were wearing weight reducing boots of lightness and the spottier cape.

Jagex neglected to mention that they reduced the xp you get for successfully completing the course to 2100. In my opinion I don’t believe at 83 agility this course is good for agility training since they decreased the xp and it takes so long to complete a round.

Of course it’s important to get to know your fellow clan members and be active with the clan. It’s easy because they are a great group of people. I have been welcomed nicely and already have some members of the clan added to my friends list. I did a barrows event and unfortunately had terrible luck. I only got 140 K worth of runes and a small amount of bolt racks. In our group Native was the only one who got a barrows item, a Dharok’s Great Axe which sold for $166 K immediately.

The other event was Sorceresse’s Garden. That event was at 12 am but luckily I was still up to attend it. At first I had a little trouble with my timing in the Summer garden, but then it all came back to me. I got 12 k of thieving for the sq’irk juice. I saved one for use later on a quest. Some had a lot of trouble and went to the Winter one which you have to get 5 sq’irk to make a glass of the juice, but to each his own. The Summer one you need only 2 to make the juice. No one did any of the other seasons.

It was a trip around runescape to fill all the beacons with logs. We were extremely lucky, not one revenant. It was fairly easy with the help of the yaks 30 inventory spots. Then we went around again with the logs to give to the tenders and tinderbox. Thankfully I had Native making sure I didn’t get lost LOL.
