It has been a long term goal for BlondeAmazon/ Moneybroker to get all skills 90 Plus. Native Ozzie and BlondeAmazon heard rumors of a possible new skill coming out on Runescape. There was a strange happening on runescape which only added to the possibility something would happen soon to spoil this long term goal. We decided to get from 89 to 90 runecrafting before any updates on the game.

Runecrafting at the ZMI altar is one of the fastest ways to get runecrafting experience. 6 Skills remain to get 99 to max out total level.

Always up to the challenge of a clan competition BlondeAmazon and Native Ozzie decided to own the Mining and Runecraft competition. We figured it would be a good opportunity to get 99 in another skill. We started the competion with 96 mining. We even took a day and a half off and didn’t do training the last day of the competion as we had a substantial lead. We got 99 Mining on January 18th, 2010 in the hero’s guild while Foxy One, B1onde 24-7 and Washiie helped to celebrate the occasion.

Without much fanfare BlondeAmazon and Native Ozzie got 99 Firemaking. Both of us never felt this cape took any skill whatsoever to accomplish 99. It mainly required countless hours of lighting logs. We did some evil trees, used the adze to burn some logs that we woodcut but more often it was just incredibly boring lighting logs as we did here in oo’log to “master” this skill.

We did this one emote and promptly put this cape away in the house. We consider this cape to be pretty nooby and not much of a challenge to obtain.

As promised Nativeozzie/Blonde Ozzie changed her name to Slave2Amazon. On a joke she collected the coconuts I requested LOL. Going with the theme of the Amazon name we all dressed in appropriate clothing for the Piscatoris fishing event. However there was so much fun with the event, I didn’t even fish an inventory of monks.

 

Iced Hitman even presented a fish he caught LOL. Cel played a prank on one of the new recruits. The story of the Monk hats from the Raktuber quest giving the wearer a bonus of 2 Monkfish caught at once. Mikey headed back to the quest since he no longer had the hats in his bank. I have to say he was a very good sport when he found out he had been had. He is not the first or the last to fall for this evil ploy LOL.

 

 

A fun time was had by all. There was a lot of dancing and joking around. It’s so nice to see everyone get into the spirit of the event and just have a great time.

October 1st, 2009 Runescape allowed players to change their displayed names seen by other players in the Runescape game and forums.

This has lead to all sorts of fun within the Immortal Phoenix Clan. It started with the suggestion of Samy for Cel257 to change her name to B1onde Moment. It was a very fitting name. Everyone started getting into the name change spirit. We became somewhat the Blonde Clan. We have B1ond Mage, Blonde Lover, Blonde Goats, and BlondIpTipp. Yesterday B1onde Moment changed her name to B1onde 24-7.  Not to be outdone Moneybroker and Nativeozzie joined in on the fun. Much to the delight of friends we simultaneously changed out names to BlondeAmazon and Blonde Ozzie.

I have enjoyed the Moneybroker name and have had many compliments over the years. I feel I have developed some kind of name recognition in Runescape. I also received a lot of compliments about the new name BlondeAmazon suggested by Samy. I read about the beautiful and bloodthirsty female warriors called the Amazons.  They were trained in the arts of war and said to be the first to tame horses.  They were dedicated to hours of combat training. A matriarchal society that kind of reminds me of our clan Immortal Phoenix that was founded by 3 women. For now I’m going to keep the BlondeAmazon name.
