PostHeaderIcon Elder Evil Tree Event

It doesn’t happen very often but sometimes the timing is right. I suggested we check the kingdom, and tried to use the spirit tree in the exchange. It asked if I wanted to be dispatched to the evil tree, so I hoped for the best. It turned out to be the best tree in a while.

There was no clan or chat aware of this tree. We had 2 other ppl there besides us. A couple people showed up during the event but couldn’t cut it LOL.

The end result was 4 very happy people who got 30 minutes of free log banking. I only got an acorn seed, and 50 yew logs as a reward. It was a truly rare event.

PostHeaderIcon More about the Giant Mole

Required items are a bullseye or other light source, tinderbox, spade. Helpful items are a prayer pot, some food, pure super set, sara godsword, Spirit Terrorbird, extra pouch and tireless run scrolls, home or faldor teleport tab. The Giant Mole is weak to range, but I prefer to use melee. If you are the first person to attack the monster it may be necessary to use protect melee prayer.

The best drop was 100 yew logs. Other drops were iron arrows, and charms. We also got about 40 claw/mole skins. I traded them into Wyson and got a willow seed, some watermelon, corn, and evil turnip seeds.

Often I hear the question what do level 138′s do for fun? One of the activities is killing the Giant Mole. The Spirit Terrorbird is the most helpful summoning monster since it has 12 inventory spots and it’s special is tireless run. It is advantageous for all the running around you have to do. Often it also lets you know what direction the Giant Mole has dug.

PostHeaderIcon Farming run

Farming is a good way to make money on rs. Since I already have 99 in this skill I’m only planting herbs. It’s very quick to change over the herbs in the 5 different herb patches. Currently I’m planting Kwuarm in the 4 patches in Ardougne, Catherby, Draynor, Canifis, and Snapdragon in the disease-free herb patch in Troll Stronghold (My Arm’s Big Adventure Quest). This all takes less than 15 min. I use Trollheim Tele, Ectophial, Ardougne Tele, Cabbage Port, and Camelot Tele.

On this particular farm run I only got 6 Snapdragon herbs using the magic secateur, and 35 Kwuarm from 3 patches. Unfortunately, even as a “Master Farmer” I still had one patch in Draynor that died. However the patch in Catherby made up for it by giving me a record 18 Kwuarms!  That was more than the other two combined of 17.

Cost of 4 Kwuarm seeds= $18,792     Cost of 1 Snapdragon seed= $47,898

Profit on Kwuarm seeds=$86,873     Profit on Snapdragon seed= $11,928

Total amount of profit= $98,801 But since I got these seeds from slayer tasks, amount of money made was $165,491. Not bad for less than 15 minutes time.

PostHeaderIcon Agility Training at Dorgesh-Kaan

This morning there was an update in agility so Native and I figured we would check out if there really was an improvement. They claimed to reduce the number of times that you fall. In the past even though we had the same agility level I would still fall more often. It seems it’s just random dumb luck whether you fall or not. I was able to do 27 trips without falling while Native with the same agility level fell 3 times and the same span of time. We both were wearing weight reducing boots of lightness and the spottier cape.

Jagex neglected to mention that they reduced the xp you get for successfully completing the course to 2100. In my opinion I don’t believe at 83 agility this course is good for agility training since they decreased the xp and it takes so long to complete a round.

PostHeaderIcon Tears of Guthix High Score

On a weekly basis Native and I do the Tears of Guthix Minigame. It can be frustrating when the blue stream constantly changes, but the game was kind to me this day and I got 190 points FTW.  This was a new record (With still 2 of the latest quests needed to be done).

I’m happy to get some xp off one of my least favorite skills, agility.

PostHeaderIcon Making Air Orbs

One of the few skills on rs that actually makes money while training crafting is making air battle staffs. If you have completed the Varrock Diary you can buy 64 battlestaffs for $7 K each and attach an air orb on it and it’s then worth a little more than $9 k each.

I get 80 seaweed a day from the Arhein at the Catherby shop for cheap, and daily sand from  (Hand in the Sand quest) in a building in Yanille. With the Yaks 30 inventory spots it’s quick to make the air battle staffs. I also use the cosmics and astral runes from stars to enchant the orbs and make the molten glass with the lunar spell.

PostHeaderIcon Dragon Claws Drop

I was killing the Tormented Demons this morning with Native and unfortunately had to cut things short to get to work.

I took a trip back and almost didn’t get this drop.  As you can see from my inventory and health, all were on low.  This ranger came through and almost nerfed it. He caused the second one to attack me as well.  I moved that one back into position, put  on rapid heal, and continued to kill my demon. All I can say is “YES! Dragon Claws Drop!”  Value of the Dragon Claws - 29 Mill :)

PostHeaderIcon Spiritual Mages Task

Even though I have 99 Slayer I still continue to do slayer tasks. I’m obviously a bit more choosy about the tasks I do since I don’t need charms any longer. It’s mainly about the drops and clues.
